First Stage of Molzhaninovka GTPP Completed
Friday, August 28, 2009
Stroytransgaz has completed the first stage of construction of Molzhaninovka gas turbine power plant ahead of schedule. Air transmission lines and fiber-optic communication lines have been reconstructed, transferred from the GTPP construction site, and set in operation. The construction of high tension power supply network is the first Stroytransgaz project in this area.
In the framework of the project execution Stroytransgaz engineered removal of air and fiber-optic lines and executed construction and electric installation works for reconstruction of two double-circuit air lines and three fiber-optic lines communication.
The reconstructed projects provide electric power for northern districts of Moscow and for space communication of Russia, as well as they support the main fiber-optic channel between Moscow and St. Petersburg. The fact that imparted a special significance to the project and made it necessary to execute works without interrupting the traffic.
Additional Information
In 2009 Stroytransgaz concluded a contract for the construction of the first phase of the Molzhaninovka GTPP. Resad is the customer. Design capacity of the power plant is 220-260 MW of electricity and 380 Gcal/hour of heat per year.
The project is being implemented under an investment contract with the Government of Moscow for electric and thermal energy supplies to the housing sector in the promising Molzhaninovskiy region of Moscow and to the Planernaya industrial area, which includes the Prom City Moskva-Sever specialized production district.
Stroytransgaz will execute the project on EPC terms. The company will carry out general construction work at the GTPP main building, modular pump station, booster compressor station. It will also assemble auxiliary and service, and transportation facilities, laid engineering networks. Work is expected to be completed in 2012.
