Fund for veterans

The Fund to Support Veterans of the Oil and Gas Construction Industry has existed at Stroytransgaz for more than a decade. Its main goal is to provide timely moral and financial support to all pensioners who formerly worked in the sector.

The activities of the fund are conducted through three charitable programs. Those on pensions are able to reduce expenditures for drugs and contemporary medical care and receive partial compensation for their housing costs. In cultural pursuits, the fund organizes gatherings devoted to commemorative dates and important events and marks birthdays and anniversaries. Another important area of work is monitoring adherence to the Russian Federation law “On Veterans” as it relates to workers from our sector of the economy.

The Supervisory Council of the fund, which is headed by the president of Stroytransgaz, establishes permanent, lifelong grants for those representatives of the sector who earlier made outstanding contributions to gas and oil construction. Today personal grants are paid to veterans residing in Moscow, Tyumen, Rostov-na-Donu, Voronezh, Ufa, Neftekamsk, Kazan, and other cities and towns of the Russian Federation.

“ ...We have succeeded in making the fund a home for many veterans—our teachers and our coworkers,” says Anatoly Veselyev, executive director of the fund. “It is very important that we are able to guarantee pensioners from our industry a dignified old age.”
